1

I have a wooden floor in my bathroom, is this possible to tile?

2

Yes, ideally the floor must firstly be overlaid with  ply (9mm minimum), which must be screwed down, primed, the tiles must then be  fixed using a flexible adhesive, and finally, grouted using a flexible grout. .

1

I am tiling my bathroom, which includes a power shower, what type of adhesive and grout should I use?

2

You should use a water resistant and flexible  adhesive, which is suitable for the surface you are fixing to and the type of tile that you are fixing. You must also use a water resistant and flexible grout. I would recommend Bal for both the grout and adhesive. Please see Adhesives and Grouts

I will take advance jobs like this as long as you keep me informed, as to the completion date of the kitchen and advice me if  for any reason this date is not going to be met.

Yes,  Marble and porcelain are suitable for outdoor use,

1

What should I do where I have two wall tiles meeting at a right angle on an external corner?

2

The simple solution is to use a tile trim, which covers the exposed edges of the tiles and provides a smooth rounded profile. Tile trim is available in many colours to complement the tiles or grout. Please see the Advice section for further details.

1

I am tiling a kitchen floor which adjoins another room and the two floors are currently the same height. After tiling the kitchen floor, what is the best thing to cover the step up between the two rooms?

2

The best solution is to fit a door strip during tiling, which will protect the exposed edge of the tile and provide a safe sloping crossover between the two floors. Please see Trims and door strips for further details.

1

I am considering using either Travertine or marble tiles, do they need to be sealed?

2

Yes, as these products are porous they must be sealed .The normal procedure is to seal the tiles once they are fixed, but before they are grouted, and then seal them again after grouting. Please see Adhesive and Grouts section for sealing products .

1

I have grouted my floor but there is a cement residue left on the tiles, is there anything I can do?

2

You will need to use a cement residue remover such as Cement-Away, which will remove any residue and leave the tiles looking as they should. Please see the Adhesive and Grouts section for cleaning products

Please Note - This advice is for general guidance only.
